Meet the Therapists
Ms. Debbie Brooks, M.S., CCC-SLP
Hi! My name is Debbie Brooks, but my little friends call me “Ms. Debbie!” I am a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University, and have been a speech language pathologist since 2013. I have provided services in Public schools, private practice, homes and daycare centers via in-person and virtual models.
I am certified in the States of Ohio, California and Virginia, and with the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and the Hanen Centre, as a provider for the It Takes Two to Talk program.
As a military spouse, I have had the opportunity to work in several different states, with clients from diverse cultural and language backgrounds, presenting with a variety of speech and language needs.
I decided to create Street Simple Therapy after seeking therapy services for my own toddler, only to discover that there were endless waitlists. I know a lot of families are still waiting, so it would be my privilege to fill that need for your family.
Dr. Caitlin Davis OTD, OTR/L
My name is Caitlin and it’s been 2 years since I’ve joined Street Simple Therapy as an occupational therapist. I grew up in the Dayton area and received my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Indiana Wesleyan University. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with children of various abilities, through both clinical and non-clinical settings. As an OT, my personal goal is to help every child feel safe in their own body to play, grow, and thrive. I combine knowledge of primitive reflex integration, developmental trauma, and trust-based relationships through play to achieve this ultimate goal. In my free time, I enjoy being outside hiking or biking, and spending time with my adorable nephew.
Ms. Sarah Chapman, M.S., CCC-SLP
Hello! My name is Sarah Chapman. I am a mom to a 1 year old son and 7 year old step-daughter. I graduated from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2020. I have provided services through telehealth and in person in private practice, outpatient, and nursing home settings. I enjoy working with individuals of all ages. I have had clients as young as 18 months all the way up to 88 years! I have my Certificate of Clinical Competence and am certified with the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). I have had the most experience with augmentative and alternative communication needs, speech sound disorders, cognitive communication disorders, voice disorders, and dysphagia.
Prior to starting my undergraduate studies, I wanted to be either a journalist or a pediatrician. I ultimately decided to become a speech therapist after seeing a speech therapist working with a child on the reality show, The Little Couple. It seemed like a fun and rewarding career that also combined my desires to work with language and to be in the medical field.”
